5 Reasons Why You Have Cold Feet

There are many reasons for this type of problem, but these are some of the most common causes:

Thyroid Gland
A problem with the thyroid gland occurs in a large number of people and is most often related to iodine deficiency.
The first reason may be weakened thyroid function, that is, reduced secretion of thyroid hormones. The reason for this is that the thyroid gland affects metabolism, so the slower your metabolism, the colder you will feel; it’s just easiest to notice in the feet and fingers. Add more iodine to your diet or use it as a supplement.
Low Blood Pressure
When blood pressure is lower, it means blood flow through the body is reduced, so less oxygen and other elements pass through. In this case, you can take a little salt, especially if you are on a keto diet and you feel that your fingers are cold. Salt will improve your blood flow, and you will start consuming more water and eliminating excess fluid.
Diabetes
If you are diabetic, large amounts of sugar will slow down your metabolism. Large amounts of sugar destroy proteins and create a type of sticky proteins that block blood flow, reducing circulation. If you stick to a keto diet and fast properly, this problem can be corrected.
Keto Diet
Another reason is starting a keto diet. At the very beginning, short-term coldness in the fingers and toes usually occurs. The cause is a metabolic change because the thyroid gland hasn’t adapted yet. This coldness usually goes away after a short time.
Anemia
There are two types of anemia: one is vitamin B12 deficiency and the other is iron deficiency. It is best to get iron from food, such as liver, but if you cannot get enough that way, then get yourself a supplement in organic form for better absorption. Liver is an excellent source of both iron and vitamin B12. You have to pay attention to this; it doesn’t always mean you aren’t getting enough iron—sometimes the problem is digestion. Lower stomach acid will lead to poorer absorption of all minerals.
Stomach acid can be improved by taking apple cider vinegar, one tablespoon in a glass of water twice a day after meals.
