Why one of the most important organs remains forgotten. Most people do not realize just how big a role the liver plays in maintaining health.
The liver is an organ that weighs about 1.6 kilograms, is located on the right side of the body, and has over 500 different roles in the body, with its main role being cleansing and removing toxins.
Here is the problem. When someone begins to develop fatty liver, symptoms do not appear at all. Visible symptoms very rarely occur; they usually appear only when the liver is already largely fatty. Then you may feel fatigue, nausea, stomach pain, pain in the right shoulder, headaches on the right side, and a few other symptoms. Fatty liver after a long period, more precisely after years of inflammation, leads to cirrhosis.
Then, as a result of this tissue damage that accumulates in the liver, the liver becomes unable to fulfill its functions, especially the function of removing toxins. As a result, toxins accumulate in the body, as well as the hormone cortisol (the stress hormone), because the liver is exactly what regulates excess cortisol. Estrogen also builds up, which then leads to the development of female-like breasts in men, while in women it can cause breast cancer.
Another problem with a damaged liver is insufficient bile secretion, which leads to poorer absorption of fats, omega fatty acids, and fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, D, E, and K. Since the vast majority of toxins are fat-soluble, removing toxins becomes even more difficult.
This is the reason why people who have had their gallbladder removed have problems with fat, precisely because of an insufficient amount of bile.
The liver can be damaged in two ways: one is with alcohol, and the other is without it. The second way occurs if your diet itself is poor and you consume a lot of fructose. Unlike glucose, fructose must first be processed in the liver before it is ready to be delivered to cells. Fructose has a 20 times greater tendency than other sugars to cause liver damage.
It is believed that as many as 25% of the population has a non-alcoholic liver problem. Thin people very often think they can eat whatever they want because they are healthy, but the truth is that fat actually accumulates more in their liver, and they have significantly higher chances of dying earlier.
A scientific study was conducted on mice in which their diet was deficient in methionine (an essential amino acid) and choline (vitamin B7). On such a diet, the mice developed fatty liver but did not gain weight, nor did they develop insulin resistance or diabetes. Methionine is the precursor of the most powerful antioxidant in our body, which is glutathione. Choline, on the other hand, dissolves fats, so one of its roles is to remove fat from the liver. You can buy choline as a supplement; it is an excellent way to add more choline, and its price is not high.
Methionine (an essential amino acid) and choline (vitamin B7) are the most important for liver health.
When they want to cleanse their liver, people start using green smoothies and avoiding meat and alcohol, which can help, but not to any significant extent. Foods rich in choline include egg yolks, veal liver, and vegetables from the cabbage family. On the other hand, methionine is found in veal, chicken, fish, and eggs. We can see that these two most important molecules for liver health are found in foods rich in fats and proteins. Therefore, if you want to restore and cleanse your liver, you certainly will not follow a diet low in fat and protein (you don’t need to overdo it; protein should be consumed in moderation).
Instead of just eating vegetables, add the previously mentioned foods to your diet; eggs and veal liver are the most important.
When it comes to cleansing a fatty liver, there are two goals. The first is to get rid of toxins, which is also the liver’s main function. The best for this are the cabbage family vegetables mentioned earlier. They are packed with various phytonutrients that help remove toxins, and they are also rich in antioxidants. As the liver gets rid of toxins, it will also get rid of fat, because toxins are stored precisely there. A healthy keto diet and intermittent fasting have shown excellent results here. There will be more about a healthy keto diet in one of our upcoming articles, and you can read about intermittent fasting at the link below. I emphasize a healthy keto diet, because many people today promote the keto diet as a type of diet and give inadequate advice that can only cause harm; there will be more about that in an upcoming article.
We recommend our liver cleansing programs, which give excellent results and help you revitalize your liver. Each cleansing program includes a nutrition plan, and natural Russian products are also included.
